Southern Indiana Center for Independent Living (SICIL) is a 501(c)3 organization which was formally incorporated in the State of Indiana in February, 1996. It is governed by the by-laws, adopted by the Board of Directors, which oversees its operation, and managed by; Albert Tolbert, the Executive Director.
All programs, services and activities are designed to facilitate maximum independence for persons with severe disabilities, through efforts that promote empowerment and improvement of the overall quality of life for these individuals and their family members.
It strives to improve the public awareness/perception of persons with severe disabilities and thereby increases community options for independent living.

SICIL is a not-for-profit organization that advocates for people with disabilities. Home Care Services are offered for those pre-approved through Local Area on Aging Agencies with CHOICE or SSBG Grants, and Medicaid Waivers having SICIL as the provider or through private pay by the customer. SICIL offers Home Care Services to people in Washington, Orange, Lawrence, Monroe, Crawford, Owen, Martin, Davis, Dubois, Pike, Gibson, and Greene Counties. At this time three different services are provided: Respite Care, Attendant Care, and Homemaker Services. Call for more information.
