Adult Guardianship
LCGSP is comprised of trained, qualified volunteers who serve in the role of guardianship to wards in need. Wards are those whom have been appointed a guardian by the court.
The reason one may need a ward can vary, but wards are often needed to help individuals with diminished cognitive abilities that can be caused by: birth defects, severe depression, toxicity, physical or mental trauma, stroke, poor nutrition, effects of medications, effects of aging (dementia/Alzheimer’s), heart disease and more.
If you are interested in referring a ward, becoming a volunteer guardian or would like to know more about the program please visit: http://lcguardianship.org/index.htm or contact program director, Chris Meadows at (812) 275-4130.
